The Snow Queen: a myth that speaks of rebirth and hope.

The Snow Queen is a mythical figure who represents beauty, purity and generosity. She is said to appear in winter, when the snow falls and the fog lifts, to bring food to hungry and shivering animals. The Snow Queen is a symbol of immortality, as she is said to be reborn every year from spring to winter. Kids love to hear her stories about her and dream of meeting her one day.



In this post I tried to create an invented story inspired by the popular legends that are told in the woods and in the villages. Any reference is purely coincidental.

 Sailor Moon I dedicated this post to the famous Sailor Moon warrior girl, brought from television to public viewing in the nineties. The original name is "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" 美少女戦士セーラームーン and a manga genre of the mahō shōjo type, in which comedy combines with fantasy. The author of the cartoon is Naoko Takeuchi. sailor Moon is a pretty girl named Usagi Tsukino, attending middle school, with a simple character is sometimes clumsy. The girl discovers that she is a warrior sailor when she meets Luna, a talking cat, who becomes her friend. Her cat friend explains to her that she has two tasks: to find the other sailor warriors and protect the Earth from the attacks of the Dark Kingdom and her warriors.  The Nereids Nereids are daughters of the sea god Nereus and the nymph Doris. They are depicted as beautiful young women, who have the power to transform their bodies into other forms. They can ride sea monsters or sea horses and are considered patron deities of the calm sea. Often, in ancient Greece, they are represented with a veil on their heads and half naked. The nereids have prophetic abilities and in the Hellenic representations they are represented as they participate in processions of the sea, in the company of sea horses and whelks.
